Grampound's First Carnival Queen 1937 was Pauline Ellis (now Whetter). Pauline's attendants were Stella Mannell (now Juleff) and Phyllis Scholar (now deceased). Anne Stewart (daughter of Dr Stewart and now deceased) presented the flowers.
